How it Works
The Street Team is a group of dedicated fans who help promote Matt and his music both on and offline. In return, you will have access to exclusive contests and opportunities. When you report your activities you will receive points which can be exchanged for various rewards. You also help to promote Matt’s performances in your area.

Guidelines for Promoting
It is important to be respectful while doing street team activities. Please do not try to have people believe that you are working for Matt, but that you are a fan sharing your enthusiasm for his talent.

Flyers
Please check the rules and regulations of each place you hang flyers to make sure it is okay first. Some good places to hang/hand out flyers are local record stores, a venue Matt is playing at soon, places near the venue local hang outs, around your high school or college, and outside of other shows.

Message Boards
Please be respectful on message boards. If you post on a music board only post on for artists you like. Post on boards you normally are active with or make a few other posts before you post about Matt. Only post once but continue to check back to see if your message has received any responses and try to reply to them. You could also put something about Matt in your signature. These guidelines also apply to chat rooms.

Instant Messaging
Only IM people you already know.

Listening Parties
Please contact me when you begin to plan a listening party. You may also want to have CDs to sell or access to a website where it can be ordered.

As a member of the Matt Duke Street Team, you have the chance to earn points for helping promote Matt Duke. These points can be traded in for CD’s, t-shirts, a phone call from Matt, and more! To earn or redeem your points just e-mail me (Katie) at MattDukeTeam@gmail.com. Please remember to promote Matt as a fan, people will respond better if they feel you are sharing your love for his music with them rather than trying to sell them something. Thanks.

You can earn points for the following activities:

IM/Email
1 pt. for talking about Matt or “Winter Child”.
1 pt. for someone commenting about a song you had them listen to.
*Forward me an email of the conversation to receive the points.

Recruiting
3 pts. for a new member saying you referred them.

Banners/Buddy Icons
3 pts. for every page you get to post the banner (including myspace).
3 pts. for every person you get to use the icon.
*Send me the link or screen name to receive the points.

Message Boards
1 pt. for each person that responds to a post you make.
*Send me the link to receive the points.

Myspace
2 pts. for sending someone a message or comment about Matt.
3 pts. for adding Matt in your Top 8.
5 pts. for adding a song on your profile or getting someone to add it to theirs.
*Send me the link or response to the message to receive the points

Reviews
5 pts. for writing a favorable review of Matt or his CD on a music site
10 pts .for writing a favorable review in a school or local paper or e-zine
*Send me the review to receive the points

Listening
25 pts. for having a listening party- min 5 people, 5 pts. per person
*Must contact me about it before hand and submit pictures as proof to receive the points

Stickers/Postcards
1 pt. for every place you pass out stickers/cards (2 pts. with pictures as proof)
1 pt. for giving them to coworkers, family, friends, schoolmates
1 pt. for putting a sticker or postcard a bulletin board (2 pts. with pictures as proof)

Posting Flyers
1 pt. for each place posted (2 pnts. with pictures as proof)

Selling CD’s
75 pts. for every 5 CDs sold

Create an activity or event around Matt Duke and/or the CD
Appropriate points assigned for coming up with a new activity

Rewards:

20 pts. - button and sticker
35 pts. - poster
50 pts. - signed custom poster
75 pts. - signed cd and poster
100 pts. - t-shirt and either a free concert ticket, call from Matt, or Matt Duke ringtone
150 pts. - house concert or home demo ep – limited release only for street teamers  or two free concert tickets
